- Evaluation Consultant
Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Evaluation Consultant to join our dynamic team at Goldstream Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program evaluation, research methodologies, data analysis, report writing, and project management. This role requires someone who can design and implement comprehensive evaluation plans, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and translate complex findings into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluation Design and Implementation:
- Develop evaluation frameworks and methodologies tailored to client needs
- Design data collection instruments, such as surveys, interview protocols, and focus group guides
- Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans to inform evaluation approaches
- Implement mixed-methods evaluations, including quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Perform advanced statistical analyses using software such as SPSS, R, or Stata
- Conduct qualitative data analysis using tools like NVivo or ATLAS.ti
- Synthesize findings from multiple data sources to draw meaningful conclusions
- Prepare clear, concise, and visually appealing evaluation reports and presentations
Client Management and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Facilitate meetings and workshops with clients and stakeholders
- Present evaluation findings and recommendations to diverse audiences
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building to clients on evaluation topics
Working with Diverse Audiences:
- Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity when working with diverse populations and communities
- Adapt evaluation approaches and methodologies to be culturally appropriate and inclusive
- Ensure that data collection instruments and processes are accessible and relevant to diverse groups
- Collaborate with community members and clients from various backgrounds to ensure their voices are represented in the evaluation process
- Interpret and present findings in ways that are meaningful and actionable for diverse audiences
- Advocate for equity and inclusion in evaluation practices and recommendations
- Stay informed about best practices in culturally responsive and equitable evaluation
Business Development:
- Contribute to proposal writing and budget development for new projects
- Identify potential funding opportunities and new client prospects
- Represent Goldstream Group at conferences and professional networking events
Project Management:
- Manage multiple evaluation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs
- Coordinate with internal team members and external partners
- Monitor project budgets and resources

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Evaluation, Social Sciences, Public Health, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program evaluation or applied research
- Strong knowledge of evaluation theories, methodologies, and best practices
- Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) and qualitative analysis tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience working with diverse clients and community members
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and data collection
