Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is integral in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy workshop supporting heavy machinery and fleet maintenance.
Your new role
- Maintain and monitor stock levels for machinery, spare parts, consumables, and equipment
- Unpack deliveries and ensure storage areas are clean, organised, and safe
- Conduct regular stocktakes and manage tools and equipment registers
- Create and manage purchase orders in line with operational requirements
- Source and identify parts using technical manuals and supplier networks
- Obtain quotes, liaise with suppliers, and ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, inspections, registrations, and repairs
- Maintain servicing schedules, plant registers, and ensure pre-start requirements are met
- Previous experience in an administrative role within a workshop, heavy-vehicle, or industrial environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confidence navigating parts manuals
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks related to stock and inventory management
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
