Position Summary:
The Safety, Health (S&H) and Safeguards Data Specialist will be responsible for supporting a Federal Government program and the safety, health, and environmental organization through data management, analysis, and reporting. This role bridges technical safety, health, environmental, safeguards and quality subject matter expertise with analytics, to transform safety and health, environmental and quality data into actionable insights.
Duties:
1. Collect, manage, and validate safety, health, environmental, safeguards and quality data from multiple systems and sources and develop dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools.
2. Analyze trends in safety incidents, environmental performance, compliance data, program metrics, OSHA, and CAIRS reporting.
3. Partner with safety, health and environmental professionals to interpret data within the context of regulatory and operational requirements.
4. Participate in safety and health, safeguards, and quality audits, inspections, and assessments; assist in preparing detailed reports.
5. Review Federal and local directives and documents and conduct observations on general industry and construction safety plans, including contract documents and submittals, based on required hazard analysis.
6. Conduct technical reviews, site reviews and assessments in support of government customer which may require scheduled or unscheduled travel to field sites in Louisiana and Texas.
7. Research and interpret agency-specific technical requirements and other Federal directives, as well as applicable state and local regulatory requirements.
8. Support the continuity of operations program by fulfilling assigned team roles.
9. Promote S&H, security and quality initiatives; conduct office safety inspections, and prepare safety briefs.
10. Maintain required training and certifications related to safety, safeguards, and quality.
11. Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Health, Quality, or a related field, or at least five years of relevant experience in safety, safeguards, or quality data analysis.
2. Minimum three years’ relevant experience in safety, safeguards, security or quality roles.
3. Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and obtain an L (Secret) or Q (Top Secret) security clearance, if necessary.
4. Active relevant certifications (or ability to obtain), such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety Auditor (CSA), Certified Safeguards and Security Professional, or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Access, etc.).
6. Experience with data management is preferred.
