Description
Job Purpose and ImpactProduction Supervisor responsible to supervise a team of operators and helpers in managing daily mill operations in alignment with designated production targets, quality standards, and Cargill's Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) regulations. The role is responsible for maximizing production capacity and yield while minimizing downtime, optimizing product quality, overseeing and enhancing the operator cross-training program, and fostering effective communication and motivation to build a strong, collaborative team.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in executing routine operations within the assigned area, ensuring all reporting complies with policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed safety.
- Monitor product-related risks and ensure product quality consistently meets customer specifications.
- Maintain strict adherence to company safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure employee and product safety at all times by completing comprehensive training aligned with task procedures and individual development needs.
- Support and manage the production budget for the department, process, or shift.
- Mentor production workers, participate in the recruitment and selection process, and oversee employee welfare, performance reviews, engagement initiatives, training needs, and absence management.
- Identify operational risks and recommend improvements and innovations to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Address basic issues and problems under direct supervision, escalating more complex matters to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two year of related work experience.
- Preferable have 5 years of experience as a Shift Foreman in the palm oil industry.
- Strong commitment to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and workplace discipline.
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and a disciplined work ethic.
- Proficient in financial analysis and budgeting processes.
- Computer literate with solid digital skills.
- Experience working in palm oil mills with high safety standards.
- Familiarity with ISO and RSPO standards.
- Additional advantage: experience in production planning and maintenance scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
- Mechanical equipment knowledge, especially related to palm oil mill operations
- Engineering knowledge - unit operations and transport processes, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
