Job Purpose and Impact
The Packer will perform physical production and warehouse responsibilities with an understanding of policies and procedures with regular guidance. In this role, you will support production operations while following all Food Safety and regulatory polices as required. The Packer will be in charge of operate packaging equipment to fill, label, stack, and stretch wrap product containers.

Compensation: $22,36/hr plus $0.50/hr as shift differential
Job Type: Full time and Permanent
Shifts available: Flex Night shift - Monday to Friday 2:45am to 11am / Monday to Thursday 5:45pm to 3am and Friday 6:45pm to 11pm
Principal Accountabilities:
- Operate packaging equipment to fill, label, stack, and stretch wrap product containers
- Monitor packaging equipment performance; make adjustments to equipment as necessary
- Record and review production data as required on log sheets
- Perform product and packaging change-overs as scheduled
- Restock boxes, skids, and liners for next shift and current shift as needed
- Use pallet handling equipment to move product or packaging materials as required
- Follow all Food Safety (HACCP), GMP's, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental programs
- Maintain all production areas in a neat and clean condition
- Properly account for any product rework
- Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Must be able and willing to perform with or without reasonable accommodation: bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Must have the ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED or 3 months or related experience
- Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
- Perform basic math tasks
