HEARING OFFICER. The Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County (EPC) is seeking a qualified attorney to serve as a Hearing Officer who will conduct Administrative Hearings pursuant to the EPC Enabling Act, Chapter 84-446 and Chapter 1-2, Rules of the EPC. Administrative proceedings may be conducted in-person or virtually depending upon circumstances.
Requirements
Candidates should reside within the Hillsborough County vicinity and must be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing with a minimum 4 years in practice, must have experience with evidentiary proceedings, and a working knowledge of administrative and environmental law. EPC Hearing Officers are assigned to hear appeals on a rotational basis. The rate for Hearing Officer services is $100.00/hour and authorized out-of-pocket expenses are eligible for reimbursement.
