Job Description:

The Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for the overall maintenance, agronomic health, and presentation of the course and practice areas. This supervisor will oversee daily operations, a staff of 10-15, and implement forward-thinking agronomic practices to improve course conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, and execute all aspects of golf course maintenance, including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and practice areas
• Develop and implement agronomic plan (fertility, irrigation, pest management, and cultural practices)
• Lead the grounds maintenance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
• Oversee and optimize water management and conservation strategies
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
• Coordinate with golf operations staff to ensure course conditions align with tournament schedules and daily play
• Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, equipment maintenance, and agronomic data
• Assist in long-term planning and execution of course improvement projects

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
• Degree or certification in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred
• GCSAA Class A membership or ability to obtain certification required
• Strong knowledge of Bermuda and Bentgrass
• Experience with irrigation systems (toro/rainbird) and water management best practices
• Proven leadership and team management skills
