Job description:
We are seeking a motivated COTA / OT / PT or PTA – Home Accessibility Specialist to join our home modification organization for a full-time position (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). This is a non-traditional therapy role that allows you to use your clinical expertise in a meaningful, innovative way - helping individuals with mobility challenges remain safe, independent, and comfortable in the homes they love.
In this role, you will conduct home safety and accessibility assessments, identify environmental barriers, and develop customized recommendations for adaptive equipment and home modification projects. Your work will directly contribute to fall prevention, increased independence, and improved quality of life for our clients.
You will also play a key role in helping expand our services throughout Northern Virginia by participating in marketing and outreach efforts, including presentations, lunch-and-learns, and relationship-building with referral partners.
What We Offer:
Full-time, weekday schedule (no weekends) (typically no evenings except for an occasional presentation on predetermined and preapproved dates)

Position Details:
Start and end each day at our office and warehouse in Fairfax, VA
Conduct in-home assessments and provide clear, practical recommendations
Communicate confidently with patients, caregivers, and referral sources
Requirements
- COTA, OT, PT, or PTA
- Minimum of 3 years of rehabilitation experience, preferably with the geriatric population. (SNF, In-patient rehabs, Home-care and hospital settings)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable speaking to our referral sources and clients
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, and compassionate
- Light construction or home modification knowledge is a plus (not required)
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Comfortable presenting educational in-services
- Comfortable marketing our services.
- Ability to participate in 3 - 5 days of training at headquarters in NJ
