Telegin Law PLLC is a litigation law firm practicing land use and environmental law across the states of Washington and Oregon. We are committed to protecting the environment and local communities from the adverse impacts caused by new land developments. We represent our clients in all phases of engagement with local land use review processes, from initial comment letters to administrative appeals and resulting litigation.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an associate attorney to join our growing team either in-person or remotely to help in all phases of litigation from initial case development to brief writing and presentation of evidence and testimony before state and local administrative land use review bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in diverse land use cases, including challenges to large subdivisions, mines and other industrial uses. Our firm also maintains a small practice of federal environmental cases arising under the Endangered Species Act and Clean Water Act.
Perform detailed legal research, draft legal memoranda, motions and briefs.
Collaborate on case assessment and development.
Participate in remote proceedings before city and county hearing examiners, state review boards (e.g., GMHB, SHB, PCHB, etc.), and both state and federal courts.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Membership or pending membership with the Washington State Bar.
Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills.
Comfort with virtual technology for remote hearings and client consultations.
Commitment to environmental protection.
