Description

Support the course 1st Assistant and Superintendent. Will be trained to perform chemical and fertilizer applications on the golf courses and grounds. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the golf courses and ongoing projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Takes pride in delivering and maintaining exceptional, pristine golf course conditions.

• Performs chemical and fertilizer applications in accordance with established agronomic plans and safety standards.

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains irrigation systems to ensure optimal course conditions.

• Completes special projects and additional assignments with a high level of ownership and attention to detail.

• Adheres to all OSHA standards, safety guidelines, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Follows all Resort policies and procedures consistently and professionally.

• Safely operates, maintains, and cares for golf course equipment as required.

• Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.

• Demonstrates a positive, "anything is possible" attitude while contributing to a high-performing team environment.

• Actively seeks opportunities to learn, grow, and expand technical skills related to golf course maintenance.

• Supports team operations by performing other duties as assigned.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

• Possess strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills

• Minimum 1 year experience working on a golf course

• Ability to work flexible schedule and long hours when necessary.

• Pay keen attention to detail and have a strong sense of urgency

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS

• Certificate or two-year degree in Turf Management, preferred

SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Endure long hours of being exposed to all types of weather conditions.

• Required to walk and stand for lengthy periods of time.

• Frequently requires the ability to bend, squat, twist, kneel, and climb.

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-70 lbs.
