The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) is a global not-for-profit professional scientific society, incorporated in Washington, DC, USA, whose mission is to advance environmental science and management. SETAC advances its mission through programs including geographic-focused meetings, topical meetings, webinars, workshops, and publications serving more than 10,000 members globally.

SETAC is composed of five Geographic Units. SETAC provides its Geographic Units a coordinated and unified voice and, thus, stronger impact, visibility, and presence globally. The strategic alliance of all the Geographic Units is fundamental to the strength of SETAC. The global entity enables effective representation of members' interests at local, regional, and global levels. Collaboration among Geographic Units creates operational synergies, drives efficiencies, optimizes resources, and diversifies the talent pool to better support members and mission-focused initiatives. Together, SETAC members are committed to advancing SETAC’s mission worldwide.
