Under general supervision, the Senior Code Enforcement Officer leads, plans, schedules, and oversees the work of staff responsible for ensuring compliance with and enforcement of State and local codes pertaining to nuisance abatement, blight control, substandard housing, zoning, abandoned vehicles, overgrown vegetation, vector infestations, and other hazardous conditions; ensures completion of tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
The Code Enforcement Officer Level I/II conducts field investigations to ensure compliance with and enforcement of State and local codes pertaining to nuisance abatement, blight control, substandard housing, zoning, abandoned vehicles, overgrown vegetation, vector infestations, and other hazardous conditions. Performs related research, notifies violators, prepares and maintains case files, and represents the County at hearings. Code Enforcement Officer is a single class with two salary levels. ...
