Company Overview

Harlingen Waterworks System (HWWS) is the public water and wastewater utility of the City of Harlingen. City Charter assigns the managing control and operation of HWWS to a five-member Board of Trustees, each of whom are appointed to a four-year term by the Harlingen City Commission. The Mayor and City Manager also serve as ex-officio members of the Board.
