We’re looking for an experienced professional to guide, grow, and mentor our Environmental Group in Draper, UT. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a thriving practice, collaborate with a highly skilled team, and play a key role in shaping our environmental services across the region.
This position will be responsible for leading the environmental business line for our Draper office - working directly with area leadership to set business projections, define growth goals, and implement strategies to achieve them.
Responsibilities
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Technical & Project Management
Lead and review technical work, including site assessments, compliance studies, feasibility analyses, remedial design, and system operations.
Oversee and/or participate in the preparation of various state and federal environmental documents.
Oversee and/or participate in field activities including noise collection, wetland delineation, and other field surveys.
Manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget goals are met.
Maintain a strong focus on health and safety in all project work.
Business Line Leadership
Own the overall strategy and performance of the Environmental business line in Draper.
Partner with leadership to develop annual business projections, revenue targets, and growth goals.
Monitor key performance indicators and adjust strategies to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.
Team & Practice Leadership
Supervise and mentor a diverse team of environmental scientists and engineers.
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to support continued growth.
Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performance culture.
Client & Business Development
Build and strengthen relationships with both new and existing clients.
Prepare proposals and lead efforts to win new work in the local market.
Expand our service offerings and market presence in Utah and beyond.
Qualifications
Understanding of the transportation marketplace.
8+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience, including project and program management.
3+ years of supervisory experience leading technical teams.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, geology, environmental Science, or a related field (master’s preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship skills.

May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements. • While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include frequent talking, hearing, standing, moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting or operating a company vehicle. This job may require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
