Location
Northern California (candidate must reside in Northern California). Primary focus: greater Bay Area. All work is Remote except for site work and regulatory agency visits, which require local travel.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Professional Geologist to lead and support Phase II–IV site investigation, monitoring, and remediation projects. This role includes both supervisory responsibilities and hands-on fieldwork. The ideal candidate will coordinate fieldwork, prepare technical reports, and communicate effectively with clients and regulators.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute Phase II, III, and IV investigations, monitoring programs, and remediation activities Perform/Supervise hands-on fieldwork: sampling, logging, and site assessments Provide supervisory oversight of field teams and subcontractors; mentor junior staff Design sampling plans, oversee QA/QC, and ensure data integrity Analyze geological and environmental data, interpret results, and prepare clear technical reports Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies; represent the firm at site visits and meetings Conduct ASTM E1527-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and proposal development
Compensation
Salary commensurate with skills and experience.

Current, active California Professional Geologist license — mandatory Must Reside in Northern California, Greater Bay Area -- mandatory Proven experience with Phase II–IV investigations, monitoring, and remediation projects Experience performing ASTM E1527-compliant Phase I ESAs Demonstrated ability to supervise field teams and perform hands-on fieldwork Strong written and verbal communication and professional demeanor Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to travel to local job sites throughout the Bay Area and Northern California Relevant degree in geology, hydrogeology, or related field
