About the Role:
As an Occupational Therapist at DCC, you will be providing your expertise and services with a varied caseload that includes referrals for both children and adults. Supervision, mentorship and professional development are provided to ensure that team members feel supported in all areas of the role. You’ll thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment alongside Psychologists, Speech Therapists, and Therapy Assistants, all driven to deliver holistic, outcomes-focused care. This role will be based in Toowoomba, and responsibilities will include:
- Assisting parents/families to develop understanding and knowledge of the NDIS to support their ability to make informed decisions
- Conducting standardised and non-standardised assessments
- Planning, implementing and evaluating individual therapy programs
- Completing documentation and writing functional reports in line with professional standards
- Working collaboratively with clients, families, support staff, and other allied health services
- Assessing home and school environments, prescribing aids, equipment and modifications as required.
- Identifying and providing appropriate information and education to clients, families, support staff, and other allied health services

Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
Current AHPRA Registration
2+ years' experience as a registered Occupational Therapist (ideally)
Working with Children Check (QLD Paid Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain
Current P2 or Opens Australian driver's licence (essential for travel between sites)
Eligible for a Medicare provider number
National Police Check or willingness to obtain
Nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Strong organisational, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
A positive, client-centered approach to therapy
