Tool Shop Operator is a person who is proficient in programming modes and maintenance of a CNC machine, Manual Mill, and Tool and Die. They will be responsible for following pre-programmed instructions from blueprints, performing quality checks, and ensuring the machine is maintained properly. Knowledge of CNC controls and use of calipers, measuring tape, grinder and/or forklifts preferred.
Essential Functions
CNC Operator, Manual Mill & Lathe
Receive job order from Scheduler
Load/Unload CNC, Manual Mill, or Lathe with specific raw material
Set up, program or make adjustments to machine using MasterCam or Wire EDM
Grind rough edges when necessary
Stack finished parts on skids and/or in boxes to ready for next operation
Perform maintenance on machines
Maintenance of Scrap barrels
Ensure shop cleanliness
Tool & Die
Receive job order from Scheduler
Machine parts or assembly for new Dies
Perform/qualify first run or modify Dies for revisions
Able to read precision measuring instruments
Properly store Die when not in use
Ensure shop cleanliness

Required Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
Ability to operate computer
Knowledge of steel types (stainless, cold rolled) and location of these raw materials in inventory
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, MSDS Sheets, blueprints, maintenance instructions, and job packets/procedures.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
