At Allied Therapeutic Services (ATS), we are entering an exciting phase of growth across North Queensland, and we are seeking a Clinical Hub Lead to help guide and strengthen our Cairns Hub.
This role is about much more than day-to-day clinical service delivery. As Clinical Hub Lead, you will support and mentor clinicians, lead by example, contribute to a positive and high-performing team culture, and work closely with local operational leaders to ensure the hub is functioning effectively and sustainably.
Importantly, this role also extends beyond the clinic walls. You will play an active role in strengthening ATS’ connection with the Cairns community and surrounding region. This may include building relationships with local providers, supporting room rental clinicians, developing partnerships with small allied health businesses and practitioners, and identifying opportunities for community-based programs that respond to local needs.
You will collaborate with Clinical Hub Leads in Townsville and Mackay, as well as the ATS Quality of Care Board, to help grow a best-practice allied health service that is recognised for its quality, clinical integrity, and commitment to both clients and staff.
This is not leadership from behind a desk.

Requirements
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional “manager” role. This role is designed for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Psychologist or Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner who is ready to step into something bigger.
Yes, you’ll still maintain a small clinical caseload to stay connected to practice and clients. But your predominant focus will be:
- Lead and support the Cairns clinical team.
- Build a positive, high-quality team culture.
- Mentor clinicians and develop future leaders.
- Strengthen clinical quality and best-practice service delivery.
- Support the effective day-to-day operation of the hub.
- Grow ATS’ presence and partnerships in the Cairns community.
- Identify opportunities for service growth, collaboration, and community programs.
- Work with other Hub Leads and the Quality of Care Board to strengthen ATS across North Queensland.
You’ll be an integral part of the ATS leadership team to help shape the future of the organisation while remaining connected to clinical practice in a meaningful and balanced way.
