Position Overview Project WET is seeking a motivated and organized part-time team member to support market research, customer outreach, audience development, and sales. This role is ideal for someone interested in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, business development, education, sustainability, or customer research.
The primary focus of this position will be helping Project WET better understand and reach key customer audiences with the goal of increasing awareness, engagement, and sales of educational publications and programs to further its mission.
This is a flexible hybrid position based in Bozeman, Montana, averaging approximately 10–15 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities Market Research & Audience Development Research customer audiences and potential sales channels for Project WET educational materials and programs
Identify water utilities, schools, early childhood programs, nonprofits, educational organizations, and community groups that may benefit from Project WET resources
Research trends and best practices related to educational marketing, nonprofit outreach, and audience engagement
Help identify new opportunities for publication sales and program growth
Compile findings into organized spreadsheets, summaries, and reports
Outreach & Sales Support Assist with customer outreach campaigns and promotional efforts
Help coordinate mailings of sample publications and marketing materials
Support customer database organization and tracking
Research conferences, events, and outreach opportunities relevant to Project WET audiences
Assist with sales tracking and audience engagement efforts
Fundraising & Campaign Support Assist with fundraising campaigns, mailings, and donor outreach support
Help organize mailing lists and campaign materials
Conduct research related to donor audiences and engagement opportunities
General Program Support Provide light administrative and organizational support for ongoing projects
Assist with document organization, data entry, and project tracking
Support preparation of presentations, outreach materials, and promotional resources as needed
Desired Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills
Detail-oriented and dependable
Comfortable working independently and managing flexible assignments
Ability to take initiative and work proactively with minimal supervision
Experience conducting online research and synthesizing information into actionable recommendations
Interest in marketing, communications, education, sustainability, nonprofit work, or business development
Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and spreadsheets
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, or email marketing platforms is preferred
Current college students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals are encouraged to apply

Compensation Hourly pay range: approximately $20-$23/hour depending on experience and position structure.
