The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department for the City of Lincoln, Nebraska is looking for an experienced, motivated Superintendent of Stormwater for the Watershed Management Division.

With more than 13% of Lancaster County covered by floodplains, the Superintendent of Stormwater serves a vital role in maintaining, improving, and sustaining the stormwater system. What You'll Do
The Superintendent of Stormwater reports to the Assistant Director of Utilities, or higher-level personnel, and is responsible for leading the Watershed Management Division of Utilities. The Superintendent of Stormwater is responsible for the oversight of the watersheds in the City of Lincoln including: urban drainage studies and projects, floodplain mapping, the watershed master planning, development of the operating and capital improvement budgets, development of stormwater bond issues and pursuit of other funding sources such as a stormwater utility, coordination of hydrologic and hydraulic studies, reviewing and recommending changes for proposed construction projects to meet City design standards, advising on City policy for infrastructure and development projects, creating long term strategic plans, supervision of staff, establishing effective management practices, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, regional and local laws, regulations and permits.

Requirements
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework engineering and four years of experience in progressively responsible engineering work including two years of experience in a managerial capacity; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
Desirable Special Qualifications: Registration as a Professional Engineer by the State of Nebraska.
Necessary Special Requirements: Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary to the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.
