The Project Manager oversees and administers the planning, design and building process for various projects. This position manages project budgets, ensures budgetary compliance, obtains the necessary permits and communicates project goals to employees, subcontractors and vendors. The Project Manager will coordinate large scale construction projects for Texas Disposal System and its affiliates.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop detailed implementation plans.
Prepare project budget and cost estimates.
Implement forecasting, planning and scheduling processes.
Manage and report on aspects of all projects.
Ensure project targets are met.
Collaborate with engineers, architects and other project contributors.
Enforce compliance with company policies and with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
May be required to travel to other sites.
Maintain a professional demeanor with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in project management, industrial engineering or related field or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale construction, oil & gas or utility projects
Experience creating plans and profile drawings
Proficiency with project management software
Ability to understand project layouts and staking
Ability to read and understand plans and drawings
Risk and cost management skills
Leadership and training skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Experience leading cross-functional teams at an executive level
Must have dependable transportation in order to travel to remote sites
Willingness to work weekends and holidays as requested or needed
Willingness to work varying job shifts depending on production needs
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with the procurement processes
Proficiency using AutoCAD
Surveying and geotechnical oversight experience
Concrete mix design and pour management experience
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification
