Description
As part of Milwaukee's Environmental Youth Collaborative (EYC) with support by Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) and Employ Milwaukee Workforce Development, we are hosting workshops to prepare youth to apply for future employment, hopefully for an organization in the EYC if they would like to do so. This is also an opportunity to introduce participating youth to some water/environmental sector careers via the EYC.
We would like the youth to leave these workshops with documents to apply for any job opportunity they would like, including an up to date resume and knowledge of personal finances.
These workshops are meant to be completed altogether, and not as single day activities.
Each workshop will be IN-PERSON, 9:00am - 1:00pm, at Employ MKE (2342 N. 27th Street, 53210)
1st Session, April 11 will be spent on Resumes, Document Review and Career Exploration.
2nd Session, April 18 will be spent on Financial Literacy, Soft Skills and Conflict Resolution
