Experienced water distribution professionals are invited to lead more than a crew. As Water Services Manager, you will direct the City’s water distribution and metering operations while helping decide how the system is maintained, improved, and funded. You will serve as the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA)-required Responsible Operator in Charge, guide a skilled team, and influence infrastructure improvements, capital priorities, and operating practices.

Position Highlights

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of the water distribution system in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, including IEPA permitting and Illinois Lead Service Replacement and Notification Act reporting
• Lead, train, and evaluate water distribution and metering staff
• Recommend infrastructure improvements and capital priorities, and administer consultant contracts
• Prepare and manage the division budget
