Description

This REU Site provides undergraduate students with hands-on research experience in urban watershed science and environmental sustainability. Participants will engage in field and laboratory studies, exploring water quality, ecology, hydrology, and environmental engineering in urban settings. The program emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and professional development, preparing students for graduate school or scientific careers. We prioritize students from community colleges, teaching-focused institutions, and minority-serving schools, especially those with limited access to research opportunities. Participants will gain practical skills, conduct independent research, and contribute to projects that address real-world environmental challenges.
