What You Will Do:

• Lead and support design of tunnels, shafts, and related underground structures
• Perform geotechnical and structural analyses, including ground-structure interaction and lining design
• Prepare plans, specifications, and technical reports for municipal tunneling projects
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver creative and constructible solutions
• Support clients during the full project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, risk assessments, and construction support
• Develop cost estimates, schedules, and technical documentation
• Maintain open and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams
• Stay current with evolving tunneling technologies, codes, and standards
• Play a critical role in the planning and design of underground infrastructure that supports our clients 
• Contribute directly to water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation systems, ensuring resilient and efficient infrastructure for communities
• Serve as a technical lead or client manager, representing WSB in high-profile infrastructure programs or projects

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred)
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), or ability to obtain within six months
• 5+ years of experience in tunneling design, underground structures, or related projects
• Knowledge of tunneling methods (TBM, SEM/NATM, microtunneling, cut-and-cover, etc.
• Experience with design tools such as PLAXIS, FLAC, GeoStudio, or STAAD
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• A collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
• Experience supporting infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, utilities, transportation)
• Hands-on exposure to construction support and monitoring for tunneling projects
• Familiarity with project permitting and funding sources
• Ability to work 40 hours a week
• Ability to work in the posted locations
• Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment, occasional travel or field visits may be required to support
