Permanent Senior Accounts Payable officer wanted for a consultancy in North Sydney. Your new company
A leading organisation in the environmental and infrastructure space is looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their high-performing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys owning end-to-end AP, improving processes, and building strong relationships across the business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will become the go-to subject matter expert for Accounts Payable and play a key role in supporting weekly payment cycles, month-end deadlines, and upcoming system transformation work.
Your new role

• Managing the full end-to-end Accounts Payable function
• Helping implement Dynamics 365
• Overseeing the corporate card process (Concur/BST)
• Processing invoices, approvals and vendor queries
• Partnering closely with project managers, corporate services and the broader finance team
• Supporting weekly payment cycles and month-end timetables
• Identifying opportunities to streamline, simplify and improve AP processes

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, asking the right questions, and proactively solving problems.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5-6 years' experience in end-to-end AP
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience using accounting systems such as MYOB, or Dynamics 365
• High attention to detail, strong organisation and accountability for deadlines
• An outgoing personality and the ability to foster a strong supportive work environment
