POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a crucial role in the growth strategy of any forward-looking organization. As a BDR, you will become the first point of contact between our company and prospective clients, responsible for generating interest, qualifying leads, and driving opportunities into the sales pipeline. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about sales, communication, and contributing to business expansion through meaningful engagement with potential customers.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify, research, and engage new prospects through outbound calls, email campaigns, social media outreach, and other creative channels. Qualifying Leads: Assess potential customers’ needs, budget, timeline, and authority to purchase, ensuring only high-quality leads are passed on to the sales team for further development. Initial Outreach: Serve as the initial ambassador of our brand, delivering compelling value propositions and engaging with prospects to spark their interest. Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings, product demos, or consultations between qualified leads and our senior sales executives or account managers. CRM Management: Accurately document all activities, conversations, and prospect information in the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, maintaining up-to-date records. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, competitors, and customer pain points in order to tailor messaging and outreach strategies. Feedback Loop: Regularly collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to relay insights, feedback, and recommendations based on interactions with potential and existing customers. Performance Metrics: Consistently achieve or exceed assigned quotas for daily activities (calls, emails, meetings booked) and pipeline development. Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training sessions and actively seek out opportunities to enhance sales skills, product knowledge, and industry understanding.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, but not required. Experience: 1 or more years in a sales, business development, or customer service role; previous experience as an BDR or in a similar capacity is a plus. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to spark interest and build rapport over phone, email, and digital platforms. Organizational Skills: Strong time management abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software, social media platforms, email automation tools, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications. Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn, adapt, and accept feedback in a supportive and collaborative environment. Resilience: Ability to handle rejection, maintain motivation, and stay positive despite setbacks or challenges. Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and contribute to shared goals, while also being self-driven and proactive with personal targets.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods Required ability to organize and prioritize working activities (flexibility) Must be detail-oriented and extremely accurate Need to be capable of extensive or high volume of paperwork/digital data Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
