WSB is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer with at least 7 years of experience in watershed modeling, pond design, stormwater systems planning and design, water quality, and general stormwater management to join our team! You will contribute to the company, our clients, and their constituents by delivering on the following:
What You Will Do:
- Works with clients and project teams to determine and develop project objectives, scopes, budgets, deliverables, and schedules.
- Maintains client communication and project documentation.
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees project activities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Anticipates project challenges and advises team on alternative solutions.
- Ensures project deliveries meet quality standards.
- Mentors and evaluates staff.
- Assists in the training of staff in standard practices and procedures.
- Analyzes project profitability, revenue and billing rates, and monthly project invoices.
- Conduct business development and develop client relationships related to floodplain and stormwater management.
- Travel to client and project locations for submittal reviews, field verification of models, proposal presentations, and other client management activities.
What You Will Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in water resource and stormwater management.
- A minimum of 3 years of project management experience
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Biosystems, or Environmental Engineering
- A current PE license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months
- A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work at a variety of locations
- Hydrologic Modeling
- Hydraulic Modeling (1D and 2D)
- ESRI Products
- FEMA LOMC Submittals
- Our preferred candidate will have:
- Proven project management experience
- Experience managing, developing, and mentoring staff
- Desire to be involved in business development activities
- The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains associated with site visits and other project related activities.
- Excellent organizational and communications skills
- Ability to work independently as well as on a project team with other members.
