Little Blue Valley Sewer District , a public agency created in 1968, operates two wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices located in Independence. The district serves a growing region in the eastern and southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area with a combined treatment capacity of 54 MGD encompassing approximately 278 square miles of land area and has a reputation for environmental excellence.

Range: $29.42/hr to $38.69/hr

MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

• Completion of high school or equivalent & certification of completion from approved secondary education institution with an industrial maintenance major or emphasis.
• Work exper may be substituted for formal education.
• Min of 3 years' exper in industrial mechanical maintenance field. Experience in wastewater treatment facility is a plus.
• Responsible for mechanical maintenance - preventive, predictive, corrective, problem-solving, equipment installation; various technical tasks.
• Available to work extended hours when necessary for emergencies or when systems are inoperable & require continued efforts.
• Able to work alone, unassisted, or as a member of a crew.
• Must currently possess & maintain valid driver's license & driving record satisfactory to policy. CDL-Class B is not preferred but may be required at such time it is needed to perform essential functions.
