ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic team of 17 specialized engineers in the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge military technology. This critical leadership role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership to ensure the successful execution of complex, mission-critical projects.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- The Engineering Manager will be responsible for a wide range of duties critical to our mission's success.
- Major responsibilities include leading, mentoring, and managing the engineering team to foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- This role directs all technical aspects of engineering projects, from initial design and development through to integration and comprehensive testing.
- You will oversee the development and enhancement of sophisticated RF, telemetry, and radar systems, and manage phases of weapons systems testing, including planning, execution, and data analysis.
- This position involves close collaboration with military clients and other internal teams to define project requirements and ensure all engineering activities strictly adhere to military standards and safety protocols.
Job Requirements:
OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job related areas.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7-10 years of engineering experience, including at least 3-5 years in a management position. Essential technical expertise includes a good understanding of radio frequency (RF) systems, telemetry, radar, flight termination, and military weapons testing. The ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is required. An advanced degree and prior experience in the defense or aerospace sector are highly desirable.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Secret security clearance. Must meet requirements to operate in enhanced security environments. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company quality, safety, environmental, security and administrative policies; supports process improvements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most duties will be performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and requires some lifting or moving of objects. Must be capable of sitting, walking, and standing.
