The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and minor maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of the treatment processes, mechanical systems, and data analysis to effectively manage water and wastewater operations. Responsibilities

Operate and monitor water/wastewater treatment equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems, performing necessary minor repairs and maintenance.
Analyze water quality data to assess treatment effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
Collect samples for laboratory analysis and maintain accurate records of operations.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wastewater treatment.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently as required for facility operations.
Utilize basic math skills to calculate chemical dosages and flow rates.
Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing repairs.
Assist in plumbing tasks related to the wastewater treatment process.

Qualifications

Experience in water/wastewater treatment or water treatment operations is required.
Prefer mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repair and maintenance.
Proficiency in data collection and analysis related to water quality monitoring.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
Basic math skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in all operations.
