Position Title: Foreman - Compression
Description: Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Compression Foreman. This position is located out of the Morristown, OH field office and will report to the Production Superintendent.This position is responsible for managing and leading the compression team in accordance with Ascent's standard operating procedures and company best management practices.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop reports including providing mentorship and training, providing meaningful and achievable goals, and providing support on career development. Foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage compression team by ensuring optimization objectives for all routes are prioritized and met. Manage compressor team schedule
- Manage compression vendors. Ensure that objectives regarding safety, operational KPIs, and economic value proposition are being met
- Manage compression data. Ensure the accuracy of compression databases (eMaint, PI, etc.)
- Complete compressor selection and execute contracts with vendors and supply chain based on the requirements provided by production engineering including timing, compressor type, horsepower, stages, and rental agreement
- Manage and optimize rental compression fleet to minimize extra and idle compression. Prepare schedule and ensure execution of compressor installations. Relocate and release units as necessary to meet optimization objectives
- Manage noise mitigation. Arrange sound studies for new compressor installations ensuring adequate time to prevent schedule delays
- Prepare compressor installation project scope documentation based on the standard design. Schedule pre-job meeting to review responsibilities of the vendor, construction, I&E, compression, and operations
- Prepare compressor installation AFEs based on inputs from compression, I&E, and engineering
- Track and report capital and operational performance including, compressor runtime, mechanical availability, AFE variance, and LOE variance
- Manage engine testing. Coordinate with EHS to ensure regulatory compliance
- Ensure leak repair and emissions compliance on compression assets
- Complete JSAs and safety meetings with everyone on location prior to completing tasks to communicate and understand the hazards of work being completed
- Report incidents into the appropriate systems and communicate to supervisor. Complete incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Complete required computer based and instructor led training
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Advanced knowledge and compliance with safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrates competent operation and care of Ascent motor vehicles
- Advanced process knowledge including SOPs, fluid mechanics, separation mechanics, P&ID and PFD interpretation, piping specifications, and equipment components
- Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting compressors and facility issues
- Advanced knowledge on subsurface principles including subsurface equipment, production optimization, and liquid unloading operations
- Advanced ability to use business software applications (eMaint, eVIN, PI, SCADA, KPA, Microsoft Office Suite, Wellview, etc.)
- Excels at teaching and mentoring. Interacts and communicates in a professional manner
- Ability to make unbiased, data-driven decisions
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Ability to anticipate and position for changes in the development schedule with margins of safety and contingency planning
- High school diploma or GED
- 10+ years of oil & gas compression experience
- 5+ years managerial experience
- Must have experience with a wide range of engines and compressors of all sizes
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
