Description
BUY this small industrial hygiene and environmental consulting firm with 38 year successful history in Florida. Manage day to day operations and oversee staff on project and client procurement, quotes, and proposals. Scope out work and calculate fees with staff. Interface with staff on scheduling as required. During 2 to 6 month transition, work with retiring CIH Owner, then take over and run the business. Services to manage include asbestos, industrial hygiene, lead based paint, mold, indoor air quality, radon, environmental permits (air, industrial wastewater, & NPDES stormwater), environmental testing (stormwater, soil, groundwater, hazardous wastes, visible emissions, & surface water), compliance (environmental & safety), contamination assessments, environmental site assessments (Phases I & II), & retention pond inspections. Oversee growth of firm as it expands into at least one of its three area offices. Manage staff to respond quickly with high quality services. Perform quality control reviews of all work products before distribution. Evaluate employees' performance annually with commensurate salary increases.
Requirements
- MS or BS in Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, or Environmental Science/Engineering
- Certified Industrial Hygienist or becoming one within 1 year (preferred) or 2 years (max.)
- Five to Ten Years of IH Work Experience
- Business Management Experience & Strong Interest
- Keen interest in running small (5 employees) consulting firm
- Good communication and social skills
- Self-starter & Organized
